Welcome to the Mead Revival! We are a small family business dedicated to the pursuit and perfection of all things Mead. MR had it’s beginnings way back in 2015 with Kyla’s simple request for a Mead for a winter festival. We are in the process of officially launching our own special brand as we go
Commercial Meads have always been a disappointment. They’ve either been sickly sweet, overly spiced or have had too many competing tastes in them. So we thought we would experiment with making our own and perfecting it. And perfect it we have. Our Meads are a culmination of 8 years of experimentation and refinement to produce one of the most well-balanced Meads in the market.
Robert has extensive experience brewing a wide variety of different types of alcohol, and has now progressed to wine. Unofficially, he likes to be called a purveyor of alcohol.
Unlike other Meads, we’ve aimed to produce an everyday Mead that is readily drinkable and suitable for a wide variety of occasions. Our Meads aren’t overly sweet or spiced and any special varieties we do are carefully balanced to ensure that no specific taste overpowers the delicate flavours in the underlying honey.
We’ve worked hard to ensure our Meads are exceptional at any temperature: chilled, room temperature or warmed for winter. Each temperature brings out a different flavour palette so try them all to find which one suits you best. We source and partner with local honey producers and only select the highest quality honey for our Meads.
